Free COI expiration checker

Paste one vendor per line: vendor name, expiration date (for example Acme Roofing, 2026-11-30 or Acme Roofing, 11/30/2026). Nothing leaves your device.

Why expired COIs matter

A certificate of insurance shows a vendor had coverage on the day it was issued. Policies usually renew yearly, so a certificate on file can quietly go out of date. If an uninsured vendor causes a loss, the claim can fall back on you, and your own insurer may raise it at audit. Checking expirations monthly is the simple habit that prevents it.

What to do with an expired one

Email the vendor's insurance agent (listed as "Producer" at the top of the ACORD 25 form) and ask for a current certificate naming you as certificate holder. Hold payment or new work until it arrives if your contract allows it.
